Happily, the total monetary amount raised during the recent
"Birthday Boost" one day pledge drive was: $6,773.79! That,
coupled with the total of $103,144 raised during the fall pledge
drive, means that WORT's raised just a little under $110,000

Host Cynthia Lin speaks with Ben Manski. He will reflect

The host, Carolsita will perform a few live numbers, include a couple 
"hot-shot" guests, and play the best recorded music that she can get her 
paws on. Whoo hoo!

The host has created a half hour piece on trash picking and dumpster 
diving, including interviews with local veteran trash pickers, authors, 
and an on-location trash picking adventure. For the second half hour, 
she'll talk with several of the trash pickers in the studio about their 
best finds and observations from an environmental, economical, and 
social justice point of view.


FICTION JONES
3rd, 4th and 5th Fridays of the month, 11pm Midnight
Host Gregg Williard continues with "A Journal of the Blank Year", a 
non-sequential serialized novel with a style that crosses Proust with 
Philip K. Dick. Although you probably won't want to miss a single 
episode, the novel is designed so that each chapter stands alone. Tune 
in whenever you can!
